Abstract. Intentional dog burials at the site of Pochotitan, a very important place for commerce located on the trade route that crossed the Bolaños canyon, is convincing evidence that this animal occupied an important place in the Bolaños world view of culture. At the same time, it supports an existing connection to the ideology of Mesoamerican people from the first centuries of our era.
