PASCUAL IZQUIERDO-EGEA

Pascual Izquierdo-Egea is Editor and Publisher of the journal ARQUEOLOGIA IBEROAMERICANA.

He obtained a Doctor's degree in Philosophy and Letters – History – at the Autonomous University of Barcelona at the end of 1993, defending the thesis Funerary Analysis and Historical Reconstruction of the Iberian Social Formations. Between his more relevant scientific achievements, he discovered the economic cycles of the Tartessian and Iberian Protohistory, thanks to the application of the contextual appraisal method of grave goods (1989-1993).

In 2008, he returned to this fruitful line of research exploring the necropolis of Pozo Moro and its socio-economic connection with Iberian protohistory. Then he has identified economic crises in Roman Ampurias, including some as significant as those experienced during the Tiberius period, as well as currency fluctuations. Currently, he analyzes Grand Bassin II at Mailhac, Medellín in Spain, and other Iberian, European and Mediterranean cemeteries.

He also has extensive experience in the publishing of scientific journals – print and digital – and Internet – website development and programming of search engines.

The Editor sends all the received papers to the ADVISORY BOARD in order to decide their publication, maintaining absolute confidentiality on the proceedings of its members. The views expressed are those of the authors and not necessarily those of the Editor.
