Resumen
En los últimos años la huaca Montegrande, ubicada en la provincia de Jaén, región Cajamarca, Perú, ha despertado un creciente interés científico debido a su relevancia arqueológica y a su potencial para contribuir a la dinamización económica territorial. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el potencial de su patrimonio arqueológico para generar encadenamientos productivos territoriales y fortalecer la economía local de Jaén, Perú. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño no experimental de corte transversal y alcance descriptivo-analítico. La muestra estuvo conformada por 120 actores económicos locales vinculados al entorno del sitio arqueológico, incluyendo propietarios de restaurantes, hospedajes, servicios de transporte, comerciantes y otros emprendimientos asociados. Los resultados evidencian una percepción favorable sobre la capacidad del centro arqueológico para el fortalecimiento de actividades socioeconómicas. Asimismo, estos resultados permitieron identificar relaciones positivas y significativas entre la articulación económica, la integración productiva y la dinámica territorial, destacando esta última como el principal factor asociado al fortalecimiento económico local. Los hallazgos permiten sostener que la huaca Montegrande posee un importante potencial como recurso estratégico para impulsar procesos de desarrollo territorial siempre que exista una articulación entre los actores locales, el fortalecimiento institucional y el aprovechamiento sostenible del patrimonio cultural.


Abstract
In recent years, the Montegrande Huaca, located in the province of Jaen, Cajamarca region, Peru, has attracted growing scientific interest due to its archaeological significance and its potential to contribute to regional economic revitalization. The objective of this study was to analyze the potential of its archaeological heritage to generate regional production networks and strengthen the local economy of Jaen, Peru. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and a descriptive-analytical scope. The sample consisted of 120 local economic actors linked to the area surrounding the archaeological site, including owners of restaurants, lodging facilities, transportation services, merchants, and other associated businesses. The results reveal a favorable perception of the archaeological site's capacity to strengthen socioeconomic activities. Furthermore, these results made it possible to identify positive and significant relationships between economic coordination, productive integration, and territorial dynamics, with the latter emerging as the primary factor associated with local economic strengthening. The findings support the conclusion that the Montegrande Huaca has significant potential as a strategic resource for driving territorial development processes, provided there is coordination among local actors, institutional strengthening, and the sustainable use of cultural heritage.
